Taylor with the win; thought he looked a little gassed in the 3rd until that almost TD at the end. Still, a good win.

Well. QF get much tougher. Beard v. Elam (Missouri), Taylor v. Shultze (Arizona State), Crookham v. Bailey (Arksansas-Little Rock). Will have to wrestle mistake free. Score early.

Consolation Side
Stanich v. Peterson (Rutgers)

That was a relief, but as you noted the gassing is concerning.

Yep... not the greatest day the team's ever had. Tomorrow will bring Schultz, Elam, and Nasir Bailey. It may get better from here, but it also definitely may not. It is what it is.

Taylor looks like he’s had the jitters in both matches. You can hear Rey telling him to take deep breaths during stoppage.

Do love the quick TD in the first. He’s tough to stop when he’s moving/aggressive.

Was really flat footed in the third but think Doucet was more gassed from getting the crap rode out of him.

Agreed on all points. Schulz is not looking like a world beater. Could be Nathan’s day tomorrow.

Doucet is a light active heavyweight……Taylor expended a lot of energy in the first two periods creating his substantial lead (in the heavy world) and riding an active Doucet……. Not surprised he was somewhat gassed in the third but by then the match was basically over…..Doucet was too tired to fire off a decent shot and Taylor almost grabbed the major at the end….
