Stanich has looked great today. Beat some really solid wrestlers, including Ramos - who pinned Spencer Lee in the semis last year in Tulsa.

And Vito looked like the Vito that wrestled in Tulsa - destroying Fix and RBY in the semis and finals.

He did look gassed. His leg may have been tweaked but the energy level wasn’t there. Arms were flopping around…wasn’t fighting as hard for positions.

Yeah - the fight wasn't there today. But he has no issues with his gas tank. Another enigma. Just hope the fight is there tomorrow morning.

Right before Beard's match, Lehigh's facebook came out with a story that Beard was a 2 time AA.I guess the wresting gods didn't appreciate the story.

He has it locked already so that is 2. Hopefully a good nights sleep will bring him some energy back.,

At the time the post came out, Beard had already become a two-time AA. Those posts come out as soon as someone achieves an honor/placement/title. Same thing happened during EIWA regarding NQs.

My guess is that its been tweaked since before EIWAs because he wasn't himself then against Cardenas either. Just not a great knee right now and blasting through this bracket does that no favors. I know everyone is usually nursing something at this point but Michael looked pretty compromised. Congrats on his medal....well deserved 2x AA now.

I would agree with all that MH, just thought it looked doable day 1 but was really struggling with it yesterday, think maybe he tweaked it and made it worse, looked like he had zero power in it last nite…

He hit a couple shots last nite and planted to power thru and didn’t have strength to finish, that’s not Michael Beard and i don’t think it was because he was tired…….he also didnt look very nimble when he was reattacked on occasion and again I thought it was more due to a bum leg than exhaustion….
