Any 2 would be a positive addition to the room and potential to start. The 165ers could go either 165 or 174. We still definitely need an upgrade at 165, 174, 184. Less so at 149 or 157 where it is about a wash in talent level.
149 #27 WS Jaivon Jones Northern Illinois
157 #30 Jason Kraisser Campbell/Iowa State
165 #24 Connor Brady VA Tech
165 #26 Kyle Mosher Columbia
165 #38 Charles Darracott Stanford
184 #32 Max Hale Penn
I'd like to see Brady at 165, Mosher at 174 and Hale at 184. Shouldn't be any academic issues of getting admitted to a grad program at Lehigh. All are proven wrestlers.

When you've got young guys with potential at the weight, absent unusual circumstances I don't think you should recruit guys unless they're ranked at least #15-20.

So realistically who is wrestling 165 and 174 for Lehigh next year?

Maybe Wilt continues to improve or Caden and Davis can successfully cut to 184.

We know we have lineup issues at 165/174/184———maybe the current guys plus recruits get healthy, improve and become the starter even if we get some transfers at those weights.

That being said, I think Lehigh is an attractive option and a good fit for any quality grad transfer at those three weights.

So again, barring transfer cause not much out there Top 30 level, and then combine that with the odds of any of them coming to Lehigh........

Last year's roster shows Herceg with soph eligibility. Do we know he's not coming back? He could probably make 165. Don't think Mays will garner much interest. He may stay if he's welcome. Otherwise, there may not be a young guy with sufficient potential, so you might have to dig deeper than #20.

As to 174, notwithstanding his history, maybe Lawrence will be fit. Or possibly Schoppe if he has the goods and can make the weight. Otherwise, may have to dig deeper than #20.

OK
165 #62 Dubler
174 #98 Brancato
184 #73 Wilt

Having been in training business of orthopedic surgeons. Let's say through coaching and technique improvement that in a half year you can improve marginal efficiency by 10%. Dubler moves up to maybe #55, Brancato to #88 and Wilt to #65.

Counter that to getting some Top 30 guys. Then you are looking at #25 to #27 range. That's significant numbers over #55 to #88 range. If there was a year to get these younger guys more experience it is this year. LEHIGH needs grad transfers for these weights. We just do not have ready wrestlers for this level of competition.

I also value students being at Lehigh for 4-5 years in optimal situations, but for whatever reason, Pat has come up goose eggs at this weight class for 3 straight years. Samuleson should not be the anomaly. It should be a tool in the tool chest for a college wrestling coach to now go to portal. I pretty much am an advocate of Lehigh going after those already with a college degree.

There is a substantial higher level of talent out there than what is currently in the room. Pat with one season with these guys could elevate a Hale, Kraisser, Brady. At a minimum, they are likely to score more points at EIWA. Are they all long shots for R12 or All-American, probably

On we go...

Maybe when I was a kid if my Aunt had balls she'd be my Uncle. Lehigh needs grad transfers this year. Probably not next year, but for sure this year we need some proven talent.

Scoring points at EIWA is meaningless. I personally have zero interest in EIWA tournament & I have gone almost every year for the last 50 years.

No longer honorable to be an EIWA Champ.
