I predict that Stanich will not redshirt but bulk up & take the 141 spot from Hines. Stanich is a driven kid with work ethic that will take him to the top of the podium some day.

I predict that Griffin will in fact improve substantially on his feet with our excellent coaching staff at 149.

I predict that Mays will stay & excel at 165 as he has pedigree credentials.

I predict the Shoeppe will have a great rookie year as he has good pedigree & talent to do well at 174.

I predict that Wilt will improve & perhaps the coaches will get Rogers to find his offense to cover 184.
I sure as heck hope you're right, but I certainly wouldn't listen to any of your picks for the stock market or the race track
3 out of 5 of those predictions would be awesome.

We all know Stanich will never see 125 again - just wondering if Crookham can hold 133 - he wrestled at 138 his senior year in HS.

O and HFO, It would have taken another 12 1/2 points at Nationals to move up two spots from 15th to 13th; three points to move up all of one spot. Are your #24-38 portal guys going to score 12 1/2 points? Is it worth it to move up one spot to 14th?

Oh, and they're not car salesmen. They're student-athletes.

Herceg was recognized as departing at our final home dual. Very rarely someone decides to return anyway, but figure it's 95% that he's retiring: https://lehighsports.com/news/2024/2/17 ... ceton.aspx

Pick the 2 that you think have the best chance.

Only time will tell but once again there is not benefit for a transfer other than an AA candidate .

It’s about the Lehigh Culture first & foremost IMO only.

No way, not when it comes to 165-184. Take whatever we can get. A tate samuelson type would only benefit the "culture" because we would not lose winnable duals due to the "gap". Even a Brignola type who will fight tough and hover in the 20s. The need is extreme. Maybe Wilt and Schoppe will come into their own, yes. But current evidence is they're not there yet this year and we have a serious problem at 165. I hope to God the coaches are trying hard.

I have a hard time picking one of them i think will happen….. i guess if i had to pick one it would be Schoppe has a good rookie year , but does that even make him top 20?

I

I'd take a Tate Samuelson type. I think he was a round of 12er. Pretty sure he was 15-20, which to me is fine. But I'm not a fan of 24 up to 38 a la HFO, except for 165 if Mays is gone and Herceg isn't coming back.

I don't see Stanich jumping-up TWO weight classes, he's short! More than likely he red-shirts, with Crookham moving up after another shot at 133 Title next season. Also believe Schoppe, and Rodgers best suited for 184/197. Whatdaya do,..CUT off the arm or the leg? Hell, Schoppe was a 195-200LB running back in H.S.

Schoppe wrestled at 175 as a senior in high school and in his one bout from last season.

I see that he had a high school win over Jack Gelato. That must have been sweet.
