While we are acknowledging track and field accomplishments
Veronica Meyer of Middletown CT won the Class L (2nd largest) state championship in both the discus and the javelin while finishing 5th in the shot put

Sarah Bond
Finished 3rd in the javelin -Kansas. She had several throws during the season that would have won it for her.
