UCD
Re: UCD
Lehigh wrestled UC Davis, one, in California, But it was at Fresno State, 1998 W 32-5.
Fresno then dropped wrestling. Then Davis dropped wrestling, Now Fresno St has reinstated wrestling.
My Niece attended Davis. Her Graduation was at Recreation Hall, About the same size as Penn States Rec Hall. - Graduation was inside, air conditioning, not outside, 107F. So Yeah night football early September

Re: UCD
One must look at every game being winnable. Of course, one must be realistic in what can expected to be accomplished. I agree with the above observations that the UCD defense may be 'amenable' to giving up some yards and points. Would be great for some turnover opportunities to either shorten the field or take away scoring opportunities for UCD. It was an excellent decision to schedule one of the 'byes' after this game considering the time commitment on the return travel, and need to heal up. Having to play on the 22nd against any team would have been tough. Looking forward to this challenge!

Tailgate report for the UC Davis Game:
https://lehighfootballnation.blogspot.c ... eport.html
First - it's going to be REALLY HOT. Second - there should be a surprisingly strong Lehigh West Coast presence tailgating at the game. Should be fun.

Re: UCD
Nice cover for the game. I do recall a game at Taylor, I think against Bucknell, in the early 80's where the game time temperature was 92-94F. Hottest I can ever recall for a Lehigh home game. Hopefully, the team took some cases of pickle juice along. It's a great preventer of leg cramps. Recall the infamous "pickle juice"/"body bag" game between the Iggles and Cowboys during the Buddy Ryan era!
