Darmstadt just injured his side in the Columbia dual; had to default.

Lehigh wins despite wrestling poorly and a lot of home cooking. Full strength (Arujau, Yanni, Dean & Hoffman) LU still wins.

Darmstadt was mauling the Columbia wrestler who tossed D out of bounds onto what looked like a hard row-edge in the stands floor. I'll have to go back and look at it. Darmstadt was in a lot of pain, and had to stop after trying to go on. After the 2nd stoppage Cornell defaulted. Hopefully he didn't break a rib.

Loeh also mauled the Columbia wrestler, and is looking more and more like Darmstadt, Junior edition.

The other 6 Columbia got was on a defensive pin vs Santoro who was winning. Baughman beat Matt Kazimir and Lajoie also won over the favored 125. Lajoie is improving as he goes along. This could easily have been a shut-out by Cornell.

Sorry to see that momentum from last evening's win evaporate w/ todays loss + the specter of injury to boot.
Weiler grabbed his arm in pain during the match had a big ice pack taped to his shoulder after the match.

The Cornell guys on TheMat forum were trying to extract something good from the dual and were thus raving about Loew's big win and how he wore Weiler down such that it took him a while to get up at the end of the bout. I didn't have the heart to tell them that maybe that's because he had injured his shoulder. I'm a compassionate kind of guy, you know.

We should have done much better at 125. Per the announcer we had Paetz-El. Nephew of Jor-El cousin of Kale-EL. should have had a Super Performance.

That announcer sucked, in just about every way. Calling scoring moves before they happened. Saying obvious things (like with a tie score going into the third period "this period will decide things"). Not knowing what constitutes a major decision.

Cornell used to have a decent announcer, but this guy is terrible. They should recruit that kid from the Southern Scuffle.
