Re: Cornell Dual
Kudos to Moran and Meyer for our young guys pulling this one out of the fire!! Paetzel didn't appear to be up to par and hoping it wasn't weight control over 2 day period issue which could bite us at EIWA and NCAA tournaments.
Re: Cornell Dual
Paetzel is fine. The Cornell kid was staying away from him. Very strategic. Meyer very impressive with his non-stop drive.

Re: Cornell Dual
Berreyesa is back on Cornell's roster. He posted something on Instagram about "changes in Cornell's lineup" but I couldn't get the rest of the message to open.
He's listed at 165 but that's meaningless. Last year he reportedly was having a hard time making that weight. If he's at 174 it might mean that Womack is done and might push Dawkins back to 165.

Re: Cornell Dual
He wrestled 77 KG at Senior Nationals Greco in December.....that's 169.8 pounds? Gotta figure he will wrestle 174 for Cornell which means Womack must be out......not definite but hard to see him wrestling at that weight against senior level guys then trying to make cut to 165 for college...but who knows?
Re: Cornell Dual
Especially with what I believe are more relaxed rules with USAW as compared to NCAA. Although I don't think they weighin the day before anymore, they are allowed multiple chances at the scales within a 30 min (first day) period and the time is more than the 1-2 hours prior given by the NCAA. Also, the second day weighins have a more substantial allowance (+2kg according to USAW) and there is no 3rd day. This makes holding that weight more difficult.Spladle1989 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 10:12 am He wrestled 77 KG at Senior Nationals Greco in December.....that's 169.8 pounds?
