LEHIGH @ the EIWA's... Day Two

Post by D3 for LU » Sat Mar 07, 2020 7:56 am

So LEHIGH is leading by 14 over Army... leading by 19 over Cornell, and followed by Navy @ 61.5 & Princeton @ 56
(disappointing for the Tigers, BUT they still have their big scorers in Glory, Kolodzik, & Brucki for the NCAA's.)

All matches w/ the B&W wrestlers are important... they do have the abilities and the tools to accomplish their goals.
Stay focus, stay on target, be ready. 8-)

I'm on my way down to Stabler...

Farro, Humphreys, Kuter, Weiller, and Wood all in finals, Paetzell goes for 3rd, Pom, Hoffman, and Jake all still alive with 3rd still possible for each, team score looking good 38 pt lead over Cornell with only 3 in finals, Tigger and Navy a little further back with 3 each in finals

Why does Pomrinca even bother to put on a singlet? If you cannot commit to a shot against a 133 pounder, why bother? He has three chances to win one bout for an NCAA bid, and he’s gonna semi-slide his way out of the opportunity.

That 133 pounder is 4-1 against those 141ers this weekend, and going to Minneapolis in two weeks.

The whooping is.....REAL. LU put it on every team this weekend with a real team effort from everyone. Meyers had a rough one but he'll learn and be back for a strong 3 more years. Here's to hoping Hoffman can snag an at-large bid so we can go into Minny with 9 guys.

Just watched Hump's domination over Monday. You could tell he had a chip on his shoulder after coming in the #3 seed and being beaten by Monday 2x's this year already. Guy is an absolute monster. I'd rather bring a knife to a gun fight than take bottom against Hump.

He "wore" that chip well... The Coaches' Award is that result, indeed!

LEHIGH certainly pulled away from the station from the rest of the crowd.
Cornell made it known that they're around the corner... again.
W/ the return of Arujau, Yanni, and Dean plus a sack full of blue chippers coming forth next season... I hope they're NOT going to start another 11 year conference terrorist campaign in the EIWA's again.
Princeton, didn't have as good a tournament that they hope would've, compared to their dual season accomplishments. W/ Glory/Kolodzik/& Brucki, however, the upcoming NCAA season could be a banner season ender for the Tigers.
Army/WP hung around to make some of us wonder... but not one Cadet was in the finals. (Sorry Cptawf164-163 :P )
Navy surprised yours truly in coming in 4th... good show for them.

Tanxs for adding the commentary, gang... do appreciate that as well! 8-)
