Cornell's roster was updated yesterday. Worth a look: https://cornellbigred.com/sports/wrestling/roster

Looks like some guys are going for the second ORS year. The MIAs look to be Arujau, LaJoie, Yianni, Yapoujian, Brindley, Dean, and Furman.

I don't think folks can just take a bunch of time off, since the "four years of eligibility in five years" clock is running. I suspect that this group is taking off the first semester (in which the Senior Open is occurring?) and returning to Cornell when the actual collegiate wrestling season is supposed to occur.

It's all a mess in any case. I feel for all the wrestlers on all the teams.

I can't quote anything but I believe the NCAA is loosening those time restrictions for the year. They did for the spring. Not sure about upcoming winter though.

Last week the NCAA granted an extra year of eligibility (and an extra year to complete it, which is a different thing) for fall sports. https://www.espn.com/college-sports/sto ... l-athletes

They seem to be making decisions at the last possible moment, so don't expect them to address winter sports until October 30th or so.

"Four seasons in five" ? :D    :D :) :P

Try: 1-Greyshirt; 2-wrestle; 1-opt-out year; 2-more wrestle

Then insert any Olympic R/S, even if it occurs on schedule

It's going to be an interesting lineup. Lots of new faces.

Hey, where's that whale? Hasn't been beached. Has he gone back out to sea?

Was the whale watch Shayne Van Ness to PSU?

I would guess Rutgers a little unhappy with that one......

I'm confused. Was Shayne Van Ness the whale, or was Rutgers unhappy that Van Ness committed to PSU? Could be both, but doesn't have to be.
