Lehigh-Drexel, Jan 24th, 2:00 pm

The next match is at home on Sunday. My guess is that we'll have lots of extra bouts, probably two mats going at once (although one mat could be upstairs in The Room).

Drexel has not competed so far this year and doesn't have its schedule posted yet. They don't appear to have cert'd any of their wrestlers, per Track OPC.

Here's a look at the likely opposition; whether they'll be at the predicted weights is anyone's guess.

125 - Antonio Mininno, 19-34 career, but with two places at EIWAs.
125 - Kyle Waterman, freshman and 3x PA placewinner.
133 - Chase Shields, soph who went 6-10, DNP at EIWAs last year.
133 - Jaxon Maroney, freshman and 3x NC champion.
133 - Chandler Olson, senior who had a nice 15-4 season going when it was ended by injury.
141 - Tyler Williams, 11-15 as a freshman last year.
141 - Julian Flores, r/s senior who DNP'd at EIWAs a few years ago.
149 - Parker Kropman, r/s senior, 4th and 7th at EIWAs, NCAA at-large berth two years ago, may be at 157.
157 - Luke Nichter, freshman, 3x PA placewinner, IM #91 recruit.
165 - Evan Barczak, 17-4 last season while redshirting, DNP at EIWAs two years ago.
174 - Michael O'Malley, r/s Soph, 20-9, EIWA 4th, NCAA qualifier last season.
184 - Riley Onorato, Jr, 17-6 at Rowan JC last year.
184 - Tino Morina, r/s freshman, 10-6 at ODU last season.
197 - Bryan McLaughlin, r/s junior, 18-16, EIWA 6th, NCAA qualifier last season.
285 - Sean O'Malley, r/s junior, 12-14, EIWA DNP last season.
285 - Eli Anthony, freshman, Preps placer last year.

There are more guys on the roster but I think their starters will come from this group.

With all the seats closed, There is plenty of room for a full size BBall court. So there should be plenty of room for the normal mat, plus another big mat.

In fact, when they used to have the camps there- they had 6 mats on the floor. Probably HS sized and no tables but plenty of floor space for 2 college size.

Shouldn't they have known this a long time ago? Or did the Drexel coach take a look at the sad condition of his team and decide to cancel?

Only 4 matches left in the season now. Could they reschedule either Hofstra or Drexel for a doubleheader next weekend when Binghamton is in town? Either that, or the EIWA master schedule still shows a tentative bout with American U on 2/13 at Lehigh?

Does anyone know why matches are only scheduled on weekends while Lehigh has no students on campus and nobody is staying over?
