Oklahoma gave up 48 points in their Saturday loss to Texas. This morning their defensive coordinator was fired.

Never happen in a million years even laughfatte got rid of Tavani. Never as long as i could remember Lehigh firing a coach. Wait there was one Hank Small and only because he pushed some of his beliefs other than football on the kids.

Mike Cooley was fired. If Sterrett moves, it will be to have Andy retire.

In 64. When Leckonby retired as HC in 62 he named his OL coach Cooley as HC.Leck hired Dunlap to replace him.

Yes I was 2 years old, but I do remember the Dunlap years where John Whitehead was his assistant. Which later he became the head coach and won the 1977 championship

I am a tad older. :D I was there for Leckonby, Cooley and the start of Dunlap. I have seen first hand how fast a downturn can be.From Lambert cup to winless seasons in 2 yrs and a long climb back up under Dunlap. Lehigh has been fortunate to have an overall excellent program since the early 70s. My underlying fear is that the powers that be will assume that streak will continue and wait too long to act. As I have seen, a slide goes very fast.

Although I agree that it may be time for a change if only to reverse the energy level of the program, this thread may be laced with hyperbole. Keep in mind that I heard the same rhetoric about Pete Lembo a while back and that probably didn't go as expected. I listened to the criticism of Folmar in his first year. Now we wish we had him. I heard the calls to replace Shaf. Thankfully, that didn't happen. I recall that everyone wanted Checcini to be our HC. Valpo is currently 0-5 against a far weaker schedule and giving up a boatload of points too.
The truth is that Andy's teams have won almost 60% of the games coming into this season. I think that # is about 72% in the PL. Whether or not Lehigh has met this discussion boards expectations, the fact is that the slide we are all lamenting includes the past 2 PL Championships.
All I'm saying is before jumping off the cliff, take a deep breath, finish the season and then let the brass evaluate what the program is lacking, whether it be personnel, money etc.

OK, I'm off my soapbox :-)
