Game Notes

LU’s

Kansas State’s
https://www.kstatesports.com/news/2018/ ... urday.aspx

How KenPom Sees It

LU (4-1) ranked 144th out of PL
@
KANSAS STATE (5-0) ranked 18th out of Big 12
KANSAS STATE wins by 16 (80-64) 93% chance

If the 5-game numbers hold true to form, what might we expect out of the Wildcats in terms of offense?
Lots of 2's....63.2% of their points come from (3's account for just 20.8%)
Accurate 2's....hit 54% of their shots while just 28.4% of their 3's
Shots seldom blocked....only 3.8% to be exact which is 8th best in D-1

Around the PL Tonight (Friday)
BU 44 @ Rutgers 54

…and Tomorrow (Sat)
Colgate @ Siena
Army @ Miami of Ohio
AU @ UMBC

It’s not often 3 PL schools travel to the same opponent in six-day period of time. It happened this week with HC, LU and CU all taking to the road to play Siena. How will Colgate do tomorrow? Can they make it a sweep?

HC 57 – Siena 45
LU 80 – Siena 69
CU ?? – Siena ??

Other then pulling the huge upset....what should we consider a successful outing?

We are getting some respect from Vegas. Most books at -16 or -16.5. If we are competitive most of the game & beat the spread on the road at #12 I'd be very happy. Or if we are down single digits late and get blow out because of intentional fouls (which they make) at the very end, I'd consider it a bigger success.

My ultimate fantasy (of course) is that Lynch goes crazy underneath, Andree goes crazier from three and......they looked past us early, and..... you get the picture. Win by two.

Simply hope to see us play within ourselves and soak up the experience of big time basketball. The latter could provide invaluable should we represent the PL in March.

I think Lehigh has their attention at the half. I'm not sure we can keep up this shooting % but neither Leufroy, Tejada nor Lynch has yet to score.

LU got ice cold last 10 minutes. Hell of an effort. What's up with Tejada? We really gave them a game in the first half.

I am nowhere as smart as Doc, but seems the experiment with LT at the point is not working, miss his scoring from the 2
