Re: OFFERS
Yup. Harkens back to the days of Valley Forge Military School. Our go to PG redshirt.
He is a LB for us, if he signs. Fast and athletic. Watched his video from Seminary and Valley West. Not a bad QB either

Re: OFFERS
Grey Shirt. Taking a year between HS and college. It can be a year at a prep school, as in this case. Or a year near Campus at a community College, Like Cornell wrestling, A year at the OTC, or, in the case of LU wrestler Eric Hess, a year at home for medical treatment. these all effect the 6 year clock. (that is to say, a Grey Shirt+A red Shirt+4 years competition.
Two or Three years in the military, or on a religious mission still leaves 5 years eligibility, RS and 4 competition years. PSU had a wrestler last year, Kade Moss, 8 years out of HS. 3 year Mormon Mission, Red Shirt year, three competition years, Was on the team 4th year, but knocked out of the lineup.

Re: OFFERS
Noting his HS and our relative recent success in getting kids from Georgia starting a few years ago, is his from one of the HSs that we have recruited from? If so, that can help assuming good 'words' from the alums.
Re: OFFERS
Yes. Shoup is from Walton. We actively recruit Ga . We seem to be focusing more on the Charlotte area in NCar now but Ga has gotten us a number of players over the years. Ga and Fla are definitely talent rich for good players who can qualify academically.
Re: OFFERS
Although we have offered a few kids from Walton, the only one who comes to mind is Shoup as someone who has come here but that's strictly from memory.
Re: OFFERS
Think so. Too lazy to research this
Re: OFFERS
Trying to stay positive but here is some perspective for our current situation. Per Cross board, Chesney just got 2 more verbals, up to 12 now. A quality group littered with 2 and 3 star players. We have 2. We need at least 20 to 25 recruits just to stay in the low 80s this year. And we have no idea who our HC wil be.
Current roster is 80 including 3 true WOs. We lose 21 seniors. If no further losses , we will return 59 players for next. The roster cap is 90 .
