Lehigh 56 Navy 38

Post by TMH » Sun Jan 06, 2019 5:23 pm

The women are now 10-3 though it certainly asn't their best played game.

Sue must have read Ben's mind. Steele was given 21 minutes today and responded with 14 points, 2 assists and no TOs. Sue talked highly about her after the last game too. She comes from a high level of HS basketball at Miramonte in California.

Next game Holy Cross at home on Wednesday.

Sloppy at times but a nice beatdown. Steele is force both on O and D. Skeeter quick.
Is there a dominant team in PL race? Doesnt seem so yet.

It's really early. Lehigh and Boston U are the only two teams undefeated so far. The latter just beat Bucknell (as did the men) which in my mind is still the favorite in the Patriot League. There are a lot games to be played yet.

TMH,
You don't want Sue to read my mind. :)
You know I'm not a big fan of the coaching staff.
But I really like Steele's performance.

Based on play to date - even with a bad loss to Boston today - Bucknell still would have to be viewed as the favorite. They went 9-3 against a very tough OOC schedule, losing only to two ranked teams plus a strong midmajor. Only AU and Bucknell really played tough OOC foes. After the first two league games, however, it looks like LU has moved into second in terms of who would be favored, followed by American.
