Assistant coaches ...

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Assistant coaches ...

Post by Sundayamqb » Fri Jan 11, 2019 12:19 am

Ten assistant coaches are listed on LU's football page:

https://lehighsports.com/coaches.aspx?path=football

I see no special teams coach, but yet we have a tight ends coach (!?).

Gilmore comes to Lehigh after being a defensive "analyst" at Wake (his official position before his temporary promotion to coach last year and after the season ended). No analysts at Lehigh.

https://godeacs.com/roster.aspx?roster= ... er-coaches

Wake lists a number other staff, from graduate assistants to others.

Anyone know:

1) What is an "analyst?" A paid position or ???

2) What about some of the other positions Wake has?

3) What the coach limit is for FCS and/or PL teams?

I am not sure all of the assistants are 'full time'. I thought 8 were and others 'grad' assistants who are working on masters degrees and have their tuition covered by coaching?

Anthony DiMichele, former DB at HC from 2007-10 and the RB coach this past season, is headed to Bethlehem.

He was highly regarded on Chesney’s staff.

Charlie Noonan is heading to Lehigh, too. These are two major losses for HC.

Either Lehigh is paying better or maybe assistants don’t hate coaching for Gilmore just as much as some posters believe.

Noonan and DiMichele were instrumental in putting a very good 2019 class together.

Noonan was the DL coach at Holy Cross. Is that the job he's getting here?

Good job Rich. Now hope for an agile 280# defensive tackle :-) Let's see how far we can take these powers.
