Re: Lehigh @ US Open

>>>>>>>I like seeing recruits like Van Hoven or Skellenger, who are not from the prime wrestling states, make the commitments to wrestle in the high level regional and national tournaments. In other words—- guys who love to wrestle and compete against the best. I am somewhat surprised, however, to s...

>>>>>>>The U20 US Open underway in Vegas includes a few Lehigh recruits. Skellenger placed 3rd @ Greco 72 kg ———brackets/matches are on Flo. I’m not a fan of Greco, but Skellenger had some nice throws in his 6 matches and his win for 3rd vs a good Mich frosh had some quality action. Skellenger and V...

Re: Transfer portal

>>>>>Bringing in a grad transfer, or any transfer, does not mean the guy will automatically become the starter. Maybe Wilt continues to improve or Caden and Davis can successfully cut to 184. We know we have lineup issues at 165/174/184———maybe the current guys plus recruits get healthy, improve and...

Re: Speaking of NIL Collectives

>>>>>>> Follow up comment: Distributing money across all starters is a nice concept, but all starters are not equal.

Re: Speaking of NIL Collectives

>>>>>>>> Time to embrace the new NIL era. A business can pay an athlete sizable amounts to help promote their business and it’s a legitimate business advertising expense. Or ‘overpay’ an athlete for an internship. We’re raising millions for an LVWC endowment, but posters cry ‘poor Lehigh’ when it co...

Re: Transfer portal

>>>>>> Agree 100% Now it becomes a question of priorities. In my humble opinion—— elite talent is the key and NIL will help attract and retain top talent to represent Lehigh University. Summer wrestling, travel to tournaments in the US and abroad, LVWC workout partners ,etc are all good , but they w...
