Today Tyler Berger announced his retirement from wrestling and will focus on transitioning to MMA. No word yet on whether this means he is stepping down from his assistant coach role at Penn or not.

Re: Columbia Head Coach Opening

I don't know. There's got to be a reason HALF of the ivy men's wrestling coaches have fled within the past two seasons. I get the feeling something bad is brewing in the ivy conference, whatever may be happening behind the scenes.

Re: Transfer portal

The Cornell guys are probably greatly deflated over only having one Big Red going to the Olympics. Probably figured Arujau would be going and maybe Yanni. Lehigh also has one. Lol. Im actually disappointed about Yianni too. I always really liked the guy despite being at Cornell, but man has his fre...

Re: U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS

Re: Transfer portal

No way, not when it comes to 165-184. Take whatever we can get. A tate samuelson type would only benefit the "culture" because we would not lose winnable duals due to the "gap". Even a Brignola type who will fight tough and hover in the 20s. The need is extreme. Maybe Wilt and Sc...

Same - womens wrestling isnt my thing personally but gotta say it's pretty cool Jimenez is coming to Lehigh, she looks like an Olympic contender already. i could see going to a womens dual to watch her compete.
