Re: Ryan Crookham defeats Vito
Ryan's only loss last year was to Northwestern's 2X All-American Chris Cannon who transferred. Does anyone know where he ended up?

Re: Navy beats Pitt
The big question for me is whether Crookham can beat a bigger Matthews. Then you may go (for this meet) McGonagle, Crookham, Hines but that's a big if. I think we can win 2 out of 3 here. Less sure with any other combination.

Re: Navy beats Pitt
When I was in college, I enjoyed the few times I talked lineup strategy with Thad. So strictly from that standpoint and given that the Pitt meet is only 1 week from the journeyman, consider that the Pitt lineup above had 133 Santaniello 141 Cole Matthews 149 Finn Solomon How would a coach set the Le...

Re: Journeyman on 11/12
Just a thought but everyone seems to credit the move to 133 for McGonagle's resurgence. That is certainly part of it. Perhaps working with Crookham, Garrett and particularly riding with Humphreys likely has been even a greater factor. So is Crookham good enough to wrestle at a high level at 141 whi...

Re: Wrestleoffs 2001
Meaning what? Are you anti-nostalgia? Just a postscript on a very interesting time. That team went 14-6 and finished outside the top 10 at 13, almost entirely due to Rohn and Trenge who finished 1 and 2 respectively. I wonder how high they would have gone if they hadn't decided to redshirt Letters a...

Re: Journeyman on 11/12
Taking a look at our roster at 165-174, Lehigh currently has a 2X PA Champ-Lawrence (3,1,1,2), a 2 X New York champ-Logan (2,2,4), a 2X New Jersey Champ-Mays. We also lost a 2X PA state Champ to no fault of our own. At 149, Grungo is a NJ state champ, Repos is a 4 X state place inner in PA (4,7,2,3)...

Re: Journeyman on 11/12
How do you propose avoiding that? Did anyone suspect McGonagle's success at 133? Do you not recruit Crookham or Stanich?
I understand the angst but what ever happened to steel sharpens steel, talked so much about here.

Wrestleoffs 2001
There has been a lot of discussion here recently about wrestle offs, deferrals and Stanic v Seymour. 2001 was the inauguration of 3 of the Fab 4, with Cooperman coming from Minnesota to join Letters, Zinck and Frick. The wrestle offs had to most intriguing in my memory. I wish Greg was around for a ...
