Perhaps, here is another angle.
Next season. Lehigh will have 3 guys who were Top 15 as a senior in HS.
I don't know when recruits began being ranked but how many wrestlers has Lehigh gotten that were ranked that high? It may be far less than you think.

Re: Coleman Scott
Now that is just plain stupid.
When you get a chance, hop over to campus and ask Pat about the absolute studs that had Lehigh on their very short list. In the end , it's the girl who chooses what handsome guy they go to the dance with. It's not always about the looks.

Oracle, A couple of takes. 1.) Academics at Lehigh are still a priority but don't believe for a second that everyone on the wrestling team has a 1300 on their SAT. For many, wrestling is viewed as their ticket to Lehigh and then it is up to them to succeed in both the academic and athletic arena. Mo...

Ironically, 138 was the last weight that Ryan Crookham wrestled in high school too. Due to PIAA restrictions in Ryan's junior year and Tyler forfeiting his season season to train with Taylor, I don't believe the 2 have ever wrestled each other in high school. I so wanted to see that and Cruz vs Lyse...

Re: Coleman Scott
I believe Lehigh's MBA program requires 2 years of work experience now. I could be wrong. On a side note: I fondly remember Thad telling me a list of wrestlers who were begging to come to Lehigh but there was no way he could get them in. I know there was one future national champion and a multiple t...

Re: Coleman Scott
Just a side note on Alirez and Northern Colorado U.
Northern Colorado offers 9 separate post graduate degrees in Sports and Exercise Science and an online Masters Degree in Sports Coaching.
That is the definition of a good fit. Lehigh was never going to be in this discussion.

I thought that was what I said.
Mostly trying to differentiate between stipends and NIL and how Lehigh is behind the 8 ball in both cases.

WRESTLING ROOM/PSU fans reportimg KASAK to wrestle 157LBS which to me seems a bit high. So, according to Flo's preseason rankings (and I think they try to be accurate and not speculative with weights) they have Kasak at 157, Mesenbrink at 165, Haines at 174, Barr at 184 and Starocci at 197. ...

Re: Week-End Salvo: Special Early East Coast Edition
My source on that is the man who started it all at PSU whose initials are contained in term NIL.( albeit 13 months old) From a former SID" every athlete on any roster, every team, does not have to be a starter, at Penn State gets $3000." The NCAA allowed colleges to pay athletes a stipend ...
