Very bizarre story and in no way indicative of anything nefarious going on with the NDSU football program. Not sure what this has to do with anything at Lehigh.Richb-3 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 3:30 pm https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/n ... d/1608409/
Right there. Ten then current players. Five others (I seem to remember at least 2-3 had been players.
Yes Spadola was suspended by the same Montana AD who did not suspend the NDSU guys, the same Montana AD who so admired Baylor.

Hopeful. Heard similar earlier this evening. Seemed to 4th or 5th hand as my friend overheard it from a fella who heard it from someone else.
All he heard was Monday. Interesting a name we all know.
Doesnt shorten the list.

Uh Oh...
There was a post that said," rhymes with Gom Tilmore" then it was deleted. If so " it's a name we all will know" makes sense relative to most Lehigh football fans.
With that said, if so, he better do a helluva lot better than he did at Holy Cross. This will go down as one of the more "interesting" hires I've ever seen in this league. The winningest PL program hires a conference retread with a losing record who was fired mid-season. This has an AFC East Rex Ryan feel....
I'll wait until tomorrow for an official announcement to really chime in....

Rex Ryan. Ugh. God forbid.

wonder if Joe is getting a chuckle out of all our silliness?
Re: And the Head Coach Clock restarts. Tick-Tock....
Probably so. As for the timing, I thought they may wait until Tuesday, so as to avoid getting lost in the media frenzy around the Alabama-Clemson game, tonight....oh wait, maybe it will be Nick Saban announcing tonight after winning his latest national championship, that he '...needs bigger challenges"! Yeah, Nick, let's see what you can do in this psych-ward of a conference with one arm tied behind your back and have to recruit kids who need to pass Admissions...

I think I read somewhere the Cecchini was given a two year extension on his contract at $200K per?

Out of curiosity just checked Valpo results this year. 2-9 with one loss to a 6-5 D2 school. Also saw multiple reports of his contract extended through 2020 in 2017. No terms mentioned. In any event, not a good year at Valpo for Coach Cecchini.
