Princeton

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Notes up. No change in depth chart. Nor in the coaching staff. :shock ::

Lehigh at Princeton Game Preview And Fearless Prediction, 9/24/2022: The Ecstasy, And The Agony, Of Mountain Hawk Trips to Old Nassau

I do not know whether in this game (slated to kick off at 3pm), in this 62nd meeting of the series, Lehigh (1-0, 1-2) will experience a win or a loss against Princeton (1-0, 0-0). What I do know is there is enough of a rivalry between the two schools that I can tell you a little bit about the ecstasy and agony of these matchups.

Chuck makes a good argument for a 17-point spread. That's a good prognostication based on what I've seen lately. Anything better would be good; worse, not so much.

17 points seems reasonable since i believe the Vegas line is in the neighborhood of 18. Princeton's offense under Surace can be extremely difficult to stop when the Tigers are operating with efficiency and tempo. Once they get the defense on their heels the playbook really expands which can lead to 50+ points. However, if you can limit them on 1st down or at the very least force them to grind their way down the field there's a chance to keep them under 30.

I simply have not seen anything from Lehigh this year on either side of the ball to suggest they can hang with easily one of, if not the most talented team, 1-75 or so, they face. With Columbia up next I believe Surace will want the Tigers to be firing on all cylinders for this one....

Princeton 45 Lehigh 16

I've always loved the Lehigh-Princeton rivalry! Easily my favorite IL opponent!
I remember attending...
1993 game at Palmer Stadium as a young kid, Keith Elias was a monster
1998 OT win on Stambaugh's scramble
1999 beat down in Princeton
2000 Lehigh survives their return trip to NJ! Princeton nearly pulled the upset!
2003 Adam Bergen can't be stopped!
2011 didn't attend but remember watching Lum/Drawl/Spadola go crazy
2015 my last trip to Princeton, Lehigh's defense was no match for the Tigers. Although after this game Lehigh really started to play better heading into their PL Title season in 2016....

My pick on AGS is that Lehigh will beat the 18 pt spread.👍 This game can be a tipping point. How well or poorly Princeton plays is not important. Nor is the final score. A W would be great 🤞🤞but how we perform is my only issue. If we play at our best for most of the game yet lose to a better team? I'll have some hope for the season.

The Vegas line is 24 and I’d be all over the Tigers even on that line. There’s some hs teams in Fla that would kick the crap out of us.

10-10 Half

Lehigh's front 7 on defense has played really well. Princeton has efficiently moved the ball through the air but their "cuteness" has played into Lehigh's hands a bit. LU offense still does not look good. The margin for error is so small when you can't move the ball with any consistency. Going to be a real interesting second half. Princeton still can blow this open. Or can high find a way to score 24 points and maybe "steal" a win?

+1 (D looks super. but ... )

LU passing game is MIA. So much for Air Lehigh.

Meantime, at Wake Forest, ex-LU coaches give Clemson a run for their money.

How the might (one-time class of the PL) have fallen.
