Saving Gillmore's Job

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

I'd like to reiterate my original position which is these kids deserve better coaching but WAY more importantly better leadership and a better mentor. Tom Gilmore as a person and that reflects how he communicates with the kids is a detached arrogant jerk. Period. He absolutely disgraceful represents this university
The lack of responsiveness is astounding and troubling.

Joe has dedicated the better part of his life to Lehigh. He deserves a lot of credit and much praise. But clearly, it’s time for his next chapter.

Hopefully, he decides to start it soon and the University throws one hell of a retirement party.

Top of my list to replace him is Nate Mline, very successful HC at Muhlenberg

Milne, Duke Greco (Del Valley), and Jim Clements (Kutztown) are all different flavors of the same profile - lower level guys who win at an extraordinary level. And sustain that winning for an extended period of time. I really hope this is the profile Lehigh targets for their next HC.

No guarantees it works, but I'd rather see if a proven winner can win at a higher level than hire a retread or worse (like a failed HC from within your own conference).

Not for nothing Hoss but the discussion of a new football coach and possible replacements is EXACTLY where it belongs.

As a matter of fact, shouldn't it be pinned.

Gilmore's tenure as football coach at Lehigh has been nothing short of a disaster. Also, the fact that the athletic director is not responding to emails, sent by concerned alumni, questioning the direction of the program is reprehensible and totally unacceptable. Both of them deserve all the criticism they are receiving.

I’m still confused why this thread is titled “Saving Gilmore’s Job”. Why and how would that be the goal?

Sorry about the name of the thread.

I should have titled it "The Extreme improbability of Gilmore Saving His Job, unless the bar is disgustingly lowered to the very lowest rung"". I thru it together in 5 minutes just before leaving for the Buck game.
