Merrimack
Re: Merrimack
And just like that Lehigh goes from 2 and goal to interception and Merimak1 and 10 t the Lehigh 40....CRAP!
Re: Merrimack
Two very costly turnovers and each one ended a scoring opportunity. Also, all the dropped passes have been a big problem. Way too many mistakes. Lucky to win, but I’ll take it.

Re: Merrimack
Great job by all involved! The defense was excellent! Bring on the Big Red! I hope to be at Goodman next weekend....

Re: Merrimack
Love the pressure D put on QB. Silbor, OL and WRs showed some talent. Punter was amazing second game in a row.
So far this year ... lots better tackling than in recent years or so it seems.
Lots of potential here ... if LU can clean things up (drops, big plays on D), they'll win a few games.
I love how all sorts of players -- including freshmen and guys overlooked the past few years -- got into the mix. This was a TEAM win.

Honestly I can't remember.Sundayamqb wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2023 8:01 pm Can any historians out there tell us the last time, if ever, there was a gameday snafu that caused such a long delay and move to another field?
I remember a long weather delay in the JMU game (home) and Liberty game (away) but both of them were played in the scheduled venues
I remember Columbia being delayed because they had bus problems getting to Lehigh (game started at 1 but they got it in before nightfall)
I remember Lehigh was supposed to host Harvard then they pulled rank and told us to play it there, which we did, but it was played on time, and we beat them
So in the modern era, I think this might be unprecedented. In the horse and buggy era I'd have to look it up.

Re: Merrimack
A W. Ugly but much appreciated. More good plays than bad but way too many still. O had its moments. Run game showed some life. Clutch catches and throws. Too many drops.
D and STs were the stars yesterday.
On to Cornell. A must win game for us.

Every win is a good win, and of course it’s Cornell’s first game and away.
A chance to be 2-1.

Lehigh Head Football Coach Kevin Cahill Gets His First Win, 14-12 Over Merrimack, In Probably The Most Unexpected Place
Read More: https://www.college-sports-journal.com/ ... ted-place/After all the storms, delays and rescheduling, Lehigh (1-1, 0-0 PL) would gut together a 14-12 victory over Merrimack (0-2, 0-0 NEC) on a wet, steamy evening in Cambridge that, like that Yale victory last November, would feature a superlative defensive effort to preserve the victory.
