Rutgers
Rutgers
Great season. The team should be proud of what they accomplished this year. The game was closer than the final score indicated. At the end of the day, the offense was out of sync without Schelling and Kirst was terrific in goal for Rutgers. Spence was as well and kept us in it. We just could not get any separation on offense and struggled to get good shots. Shows how important #22 is to our offense. Great experience for the younger guys and Sisselberger had an historic season at the x. Looking forward to next season with a strong core coming back and perhaps a few 5th years. Go Lehigh!
Re: Rutgers
Mike Sisselberger named a first team all American. Lehigh hasn’t had one in over 100 years. Tremendous!
Re: Rutgers
Tremendous accomplishment in only his 1st full year starting. Congratulations.
Not to nitpick but it's been 96 years. Art Gruhn was a 1st teamer in 1925

Re: Rutgers
I stand corrected. Either way, it was a long time ago.
Re: Rutgers
In addition to Sissleberger, Spence and Tangredi were chosen as 2nd team AA.
What I don't understand is that Spence was not chosen at all for Patriot League honors but is 2nd Team AA. But then again Kirst was chosen as 2nd Team all Patriot League ahead of Mule' who scored more goals, more assists and half the turnovers.
But then again, what do I know ?.
I wasn't questioning the 100 year as much as to point out who our last 1st Team AA was and how different the positioning was.

Re: Rutgers
The Lehigh article incorrectly states that Spence and Tangredi were second team AAs. Per the complete list, they were both honorable mention AAs. Still quite the accomplishment. Leggett should have also been on that list in my opinion.
