American game Saturday

Saturday we go for our fourth win in a row after an encouraging game against Holy Cross Wednesday. After running out to a 17 point lead we allowed Cross back in the game with shoddy 3 point defense. Amazing how fast 3's can change momentum. To our credit we tightened up & regained control pretty quickly. But sooner or later we have to clean up the turnovers. We gave it away 14 times Wednesday. Fortunately Cross was more generous with 17.
American has wins against Georgetown (Big East), George Washington (A10), and Boston so they are not a cup cake. Kenpom has the Eagles as a 3 point favorite, but it is a winnable game. The listed attendance Wednesday was only 556. Hopefully we can getting a better crowd tomorrow, for a change. Based on recent effort they deserve the support.
