7 in a Row!!!!
Re: 7 in a Row!!!!
What is Lehigh’s longest winning streak in men’s basketball ? Maybe a few in the low double digits in either the McCollum or Queenan eras?

According to the record book, (which is on line) the longest winning streak is 11 games. They did it twice: Most recently in the 2015-16 season and way back in the 1925-26 season.

Thanks! I figured correctly on the estimated number off games, but surprised as to when it occurred!Hawktalker wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 7:20 pm According to the record book, (which is on line) the longest winning streak is 11 games. That was Kempton, Ross, Leufroy, Chuku, and Austin Price. Best team since McCollum. And lost the Patriot League championship game to an inferior (13-19) Holy Cross team in front of maybe the largest basketball crowd (full house) in Stabler history.

I was at that game. It was packed...and heart-breaking. Lehigh lost 59-56. A couple of 3 pointers that would have sent the game into overtime just missed.
Only three times all season did they score in the 50's and they had beaten Holy Cross twice that season, but not that night.

Was there as well, brutal loss. That class should have gotten an NCAA trip.
Re: 7 in a Row!!!!
was that the year the 9th place team won the PL?
Re: 7 in a Row!!!!
Yup. The Cross was next to last in league play (5-13) and 15-20 overall (including their 2 NCAA tournament games). The spotted purple pussies
were last (2015-16).
were last (2015-16).

That's a bit of revisionist history. That team was very mediocre, finishing 17-15 overall and #191 in KenPom. They should have beaten HC that game, and it was disappointing in front of a packed house. They also just weren't that good.
