I think someone owes mookie an apology for the "rain cloud" comment. If gimp's lineup info pans out, it's gonna be something like:

125: Ethan Berginc (ARMY) Def. S. Seymour (LU)
133: Braden Basile (ARMY) Def. E. Smith (LU)
141: M. Hines (LU) Def. Rich Treanor (ARMY)
149: Matthew Williams (ARMY) def. K. Griffin (LU)
157: M. Brignola (LU) def. Nathan Lukez (ARMY)
165: Gunner Filipowicz (ARMY) def. J. Logan (LU)
174: Ben Pasiuk (ARMY) def. C. Herceg (LU)
184: Daniel Lawrence (ARMY) def. J. Wilt (LU)
197: M. Beard (LU) def. Wolfgang Frable (ARMY)
285: N. Taylor (LU) def. Lucas Stoddard (ARMY)

LU Bonus at 197, 285. ARMY Bonus at 125, 133, 174
6-4 Army. Hopefully wrong due to upsets..

Seymour wins if he wrestles 125, could win 133 if he goes there but then we’d be heavy dog at 125 with Wadle or Smith….

Brignola slight favorite if he goes, Frinzi heavy underdog if he goes……

My guess is we go:

125 Seymour
133 Smith
141 Bailey
149 Griffin
157 Frinzi
165 Logan
174 Herceg
184 Wilt
197 Beard
285 Taylor

Lehigh bonus potential at 125 (Seymour), 184 , 197, 285

Army bonus potential at 133, 174

**** I consider Dave a friend and respect his strong wrestling knowledge and insights. I routinely kid him about his seemingly inability to find much positive about Lehigh wrestling. I too hope his view of today's match is incorrect. Hopefully Pat will see fit to either start Stanich at 125 or Seymour will prevail. If Crookham is not going to wrestle, why not give McGonagle a start (unless he is dinged or cannot legally make 133). We shall see.

Army wrestles physical and hard for all the minutes.
We taking people out to not risk injury going into EIWA?
I have no problem with it either way.

Duals are about matchups. Just as Penn/Navy had some matchup problems, so does Army.

I see some falls coming from Lehigh, so Lehigh wins on bonus even if 6-4 Army swing in bouts won.

No more or less physical than any other school. People say that all the time about military schools, but the fact remains they're usually pretty average wrestlers.

Pretty accurate. Didn’t expect that bonus coming at 165 though, did you?
Logan is quite the enigma.

Quite the enigma, well that’s one way to put it, gave up a bonus point for no reason at the end which could have been huge…..

I don't think he's an enigma at all. He's always been able to get to opponents' legs, but rarely converts for TDs. He did all the shooting today (both of Harkins' TDs came on counters), trailed late in the bout, went for broke and gave up a seven point move. He could have just wrapped up and accepted a loss, instead he tried something. Them's the breaks.

Re the announcing -- I've given up listening to announcers other than Steve and Gimp. When video is available, even Service Electric's, I mute the audio and listen to the FoxSports radio. It's a trick I learned back when ABC broadcast the World Series -- muted Cosell, listened to Vin Scully on the radio.

I was in agreement with you up till your comment on flurry at end of match……he took his usual futile shot and was stalemated for an extended period of time and only then gave up the 7 point move…..he thought it was over when he was stalemated on shot and then gave up the big move….

Just watched it again on replay, can’t let that happen…..

It’s amazing that he has remained as the starter for all of these years with a losing record. 35-44. Says something about recruiting this weight class (and 174)
