EIWAs Pre Seeds
Re: EIWAs Pre Seeds
Are we SURE that Stanich, and Crookham will be participating OR being saved for next season?
Re: EIWAs Pre Seeds
Without looking up results, I think Griffin at #3 is a bit of a surprise. Not a bad one thoughFloridaGuy wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2024 3:16 pm >>>>>>>> About what I anticipated for Lehigh and cu. Some really good bouts to look forward to.
Re: EIWAs Pre Seeds
Connor Herceg got a favorable seed, 15. If he beats Incontera in the first round, great. If he loses he gets a pigtail consolation against the loser of 16-17.
Wilt has a Key bout at first. If he and Logan win first bouts, they certainly seem likely placers.

Re: EIWAs Pre Seeds
You must be kidding. Herceg dominated the #8 from Cornell and easily beat Squires, who's seeded ahead of him. He had some bad losses but I think he got screwed.
Re: EIWAs Pre Seeds
IDK, the pre-seeds look pretty good to me. Why is anyone complaining about Kluever at #3? Should we just forget about those falls over Fernandes and Stoddard? A win is a win, whether in November or February.
I certainly like Griffin at #6. If he does a better job of protecting his legs he could make the finals. Let's face it, you want to get to NCAAs when you are lower seeded, you have to beat a few guys above you so who cares what your seed is after the last qualifying spot?
Our guys will either come into this tournament to fight, or lay down. No half measures. That's why I like Wilt's chances -- he's a fighter. Herceg is a cement lugger (albeit at 165) but still has enough horse that no one should sleep on him. He doesn't match up with Incontrera, so his chances will come on the backside, IMO.
Feel good about Griffin and Hines vs Navy in semis. Max vs Penn a coin toss. Should be fun.
Not understanding mookie's statement RE: 133. He's under not any obligation to explain himself.

Re: EIWAs Pre Seeds
Griffin is pre-seeded 3rd. He was 6th in the last EIWA rankings (not sure what those are based on). If he makes the semis he'll probably meet the winner of a Williams/Smith quarterfinal. Williams has beaten Griffin twice this year, but he lost a major to Smith in the Star Dual. Smith beat Reinsel by a point in our dual with Navy.
Paths to best anticipated finish. I think six or seven finalists is possible.
