Very similar to the Campbell HW who stopped Taylor at the NCAAs. Small, very athletic, has afro. Seems to be the winning trifecta against our guys nowdays. Wood woulda won (say 3x fast) but got caught in a slick counter move on a td attempt iirc. Speaks to Taylor's continued development that he had an arguably better showing against this guy and very nearly beat him. Gotta think 24-25 will be his breakout year...

Looks like the Smith guy wins it all after beating Taylor and Wood. Taylor forfeits first consolation - idk why. Wood tf advances to 3rd place match, then gets the tech to take 3rd. Working the leg laces beautifully. Nice job by Jordan and always fun to see him compete.

Jaxson Forest (as youll recall, the highschooler that beat Stanich this year) just TECHED Nate Tomasello... 2015 NCAA champ and 2019 US open silver medalist. Geez

... and high schooler Bassett teched National Champion Ashnault. No embarrassment losing to some of these high schoolers these days.
