**** Having had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Oracle in person, I will say he is a 100% gentleman and among the Most Knowledgeable Lehigh Fans, especially since he among only a few here who actually put on a singlet and wrestled D1. If you have a problem with that, it is on you. Blessings to All.

>>> I also know they always speak from a "P.R. statistical side" of wrestling knowledge not the actual wrestling side of wrestling knowledge.....two different animals, sure great supporters of Lehigh wrestling no doubt, but shouldn't speak of which they have little clue like they are savants on a forum which sometimes is actually about wrestling, the actual on the mat wrestling side.

... Who is "they" ? Me, Gimp, Oracle ? O was actually a wrestler for 4 yrs for Lehigh; no one I know on this forum has closer proximity to what's actually about wrestling; proximity to the coaches as well as the wrestlers, year round contact in fact to what's "actually about wrestling"
... The big problem is forum posting often w/out regard to what's really going on.

But I'm also aware of a problem: the tendency of a forum to be more about themselves, their posts, then any facts. My close friend, John Henning, wrote me privately to stop posting online too many facts - because forum members come online mostly to post feelings, w/out worrying so much about 'truth' in facts. I understood what he wrote me, but I didn't have to agree.

Yes, I realized I can be a pain by squelching feelings, but mostly reserved those rebuttals for when I thought that feelings go overboard and sometimes step on the toes of coaches & wrestlers. So if too many stats spoil the 'broth,' then so can too many feelings about the participants. I don't challenge posts to win any popularity polls; I have a right to post my feelings and don't really care about my critics calling me names, like 'asshole' (thx, whiz) or 'pathetic' .... or 'pathetic summary' (both a 'credit' to spladle).

Have never been impressed by nasty name calling, preferring to use plain English. Months ago, spladle got so ticked he began describing how he was gonna "ride me like a pony" and implied it would hurt so much I'd be sore from all the chafing; that I'd be unable to handle it. An astonishing rant, for sure - pathetic at any level on this forum - but I'm still me and he's still spladle, as nasty as they come

... No biggie, even though I've never called anyone that name.
... I know I've been an a-hole but try to reserve those moments for spladle
