So theoretically, Jordan Wood could become the first ever 5x EIWA champ?drd5748 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 4:52 pm I was advised Josh is still shirting while Wood will wrestle the next two "seasons"; as jda confirms it's complicated, so it ain't over it's over. Lehigh announces 2021 wrestling schedule

Re: Lehigh announces 2021 wrestling schedule
Just when I thought I had it figured out, you guys confused me again with the talk of Humphreys not wrestling this year. If he wrestles this year he can the wrestle again in 2022 and 2023. If he does not wrestle he can wrestle 2022 and 2023. So why not wrestle 3 years instead of 2?
Re: Lehigh announces 2021 wrestling schedule
The NCAA's proclamation gave athletes an opportunity for a 5th year but didn't provide the funds to pay for it. That's one good reason right there.mh1 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 12:05 pm Just when I thought I had it figured out, you guys confused me again with the talk of Humphreys not wrestling this year. Re: Lehigh announces 2021 wrestling schedule
I'll guess that every situation is different but how does finances differ if JH attends Lehigh this year and does not compete or attends Lehigh and competes against outside opponents instead of just his team mates. Either way, it looks like he will be attending Lehigh through the 22-23 season.jdalu75 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 2:18 pmThe NCAA's proclamation gave athletes an opportunity for a 5th year but didn't provide the funds to pay for it. It seems to me that his entire 5th year issue is going to lend itself to a lot of grad school transferring throughout the system. From Lehigh's standpoint that can mean coming in or leaving.

You'd have to ask the staff, who aren't going to answer. I've wondered the same thing.TMH wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 3:25 pm

Did we recruit another Humphrey? If so, are they both sitting out this year? I am only aware of one on the roster.mh1 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 12:05 pm Just when I thought I had it figured out, you guys confused me again with the talk of Humphreys not wrestling this year. But Happy Humphrey is clearly plural all by himself.
