Virginia Tech got a great one in Sonny Sasso from Nazareth.
Rath's father is a chef. Best known for his crêpes of rath.

Kinney loves football but my guess is that Iowa or Penn State will find some NIL deal to entice him. We have our heavyweight for 3 more years.

Truly impressive group of local sophomores to focus on starting this summer.

Wonder if there is any relationship to the former RB on our football team about 20 years ago named Eric Rath. He was from "up the line" I think near Bangor and went to Pius X. Was an excellent back, like a cannonball, bounced off of would be tacklers like a pinball. Getting 'this' Rath on the wrestling team would be tremendous. Maybe we could name a building after him...howabout "Rath" Bone Hall? ;)

Recruiting. 33% of NCAA qualifiers from PA/NJ/OH/NY start there.
Have not looked all who committed.

PA State Champions (Class of 2024)
Wt Wrestler School

152 Harer, Conner Montgomery
189 Hogan, Tucker Daniel Boone
189 Lawrence, Rune Frazier
285 Kinney, Sean Nazareth

Both 189 are outstanding. Interesting to see if Rune Lawrence has any interest in Lehigh. I lean Kinney goes to Iowa. Iowa once landed a Nazareth heavyweight before, but he never wrestled. Iowa football coach recruited something like 4 State Champs this year. Iowa coaches for right athlete will work something out. It is possible a number of them will also be on wrestling team. Kinney will be a guard or center at Iowa Football.

Wt Wrestler School College
114 Bainey, Landon West Branch American
121 Ziegler, Mason Quakertown Lehigh

Don’t think we have a need at 184 as long as Rogers is healed & can stay at that weight.

Every program always has a need at any given weight until proven otherwise -- Rogers hasn't wrestled yet.

But, I agree, there are other more pressing needs to be sure.
