Animal Show/NCAA's-Session 3

Post by ScrambleMan » Fri Mar 17, 2023 12:59 pm

What a start for Lehigh in session 3, Malyke with a dominant major over the 5 seed Jack from NC State. Josh on deck on mat 3.

Whoa Malyke!!! Two matches left to possibly AA.......Has Kazmir from Columbia next (who he hasn't figured out YET), and then the 10 seed McNeil from UNC. Not impossible

5-2 final for Josh!! On his takedown in the second and a reversal in the third plus riding time, guaranteed top 6 now. What a match, looked solid all around. Now a little gap until Tate is up. Good start :)

Josh will face first seed Austin O’Conner from UNC in the semis.

I think that means his opponent medically forfeited so Kazimir advanced

Franek no dynamo on his feet so a v good matchup there for Josh and he wrestled brilliantly. Glad to see him get his well-deserved medal. Revenge bout coming v O'Connor who is great on his feet and basically well....yeah just great all around. It was a barn burner last year. No pressure now - let it fly!

Don't construe this as the proverbial wet blanket, BUT O'Connor wasn't 100% in their last encounter in that blood round last year. Josh pretty much had him but the UNC fellow nabbed the score at the end. (med forf the remainder of the tourny sneak onto the podium.)
This time around the Tar Heel is loaded for bear.
Josh has to be dead on perfect to get to Saturday Night Lights.
He has the tools to do it... tonite he execute the Plan to Stand Tall. 8-)

ps... Hey Josh, congrats on nabbing AA!
Sir, a pint of you finest ale, please!
Never argue with an idiot... he'll bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
