NOT a good look indeed,..TEAM player? And his MOM looked like an asshole! Lots of disappointed Mothers in the Arena, and they didn't ACT like this..

Lee tore one of his rebuilt ACL’s in his first bout of the tournament.

Honestly didn't see anything in Mrs. Lee's reaction other than being totally invested in her son's pursuit of an Iowa first 4 titles. If anything, it was hilarious. After the crunched up glasses hit the floor, she collapsed in exhaustion.

She did not exhibit emotions anyone else wouldn't feel in that situation. It *was* a difficult moment for Spencer and by extension, the family.

What a moment! And caught on tape.

After the 125 lbers received their awards, as Glory stepped down from the podium, Lee went over to him, shook his hand, and gave him a hug.
I’m no Iowa fan, but Spencer Lee is a great wrestler and acted with class.
Good for him, glad to hear it. I like Iowa, really like the Brands. Was rooting for Lee to get his fourth.

If you can wrestle for first you can wrestle for third. Hundreds of guys would have loved to be in that position. Lots of broken dreams and disappointed Moms. Spencer Lee’s dreams and his Mother’s disappointment are no more important than anyone else’s. There was a time we taught people to lose with grace and humility, not with a temper tantrum. Unfortunately this reaction was what most people saw of the event. It was embarrassing.

Easy from the cheap seats but really hard for me to question Lee’s desire to wrestle; his 3rd ACL tear, not mine

I agree with Denny. Doesn't Spencer Lee deserve the benefit of the doubt? Hasn't he earned the fans goodwill?

Easy or hard, we’re all sitting in the cheap seats.

It’s obvious to me what happened.

Is an insulting statement. Go watch the 36 second bout, and immediately after.
