Iowa Wrestling has announced on Twitter that Spencer Lee has medically forfeited out of the tournament to 6th place.

Oh, man. He hasn't been right all year. Killer on top but has gassed late in several matches and struggles on the bottom.

There are some of the school of thought, that it's either 4 X champ or bust.

Other's may chime in and holler, "Med forf. out of the tournament?!? Ya Quitter... stick it out!"

I'm sure that the most of you agree, that one of the hardest thing to do, is to get back and wrestle after a crushing loss in the semis.
I was looking forward to see him press on towards third... it's a show your character thing.

Wrestling injured to secure a 4th title is one thing — once that’s removed, what’s the point? Lee is damaged goods. I understand the decision and don’t have any problem with it. Iowa is going to come in 2nd no matter what. IMO, they did what was in Lee’s best interest. Fans can go screw themselves if they don’t like it.

Maybe they'll put Mrs. Lee's glasses on the medal stand if Spencer doesn't show.
