On Phillippi…...” He ended his seven-year career – which included exemptions for a year initially wiped out by his transfer and one for the pandemic – with a 132-32 record.”

Sometimes I wonder what kind of people would want to spend five or six years (or more, injury hardships) in college unless they are getting graduate degrees that will propel them to professional success in the future. At some point, it's time to grow up.

I have no idea what NCAA process is for medical waiver, but reading the back and forth here, I feel his chances are low.
From a fan standpoint, would love to have him back. Could he win it all? Possibly.
But also from fan standpoint. A slip in position or injury re-occurrence ruins the poetry of first time AA losing controversial semi, then wrestling back for 3rd.
Just random thoughts.

If I could do it all over, I would join an Armed Forces Reserve at age 17, worked, taken 1 class per semester and mastered it fully, bought a house at age 18 and thrown myself into life. Instead, I went off to college, had it interrupted by two wars and was nearly 40 by the time I graduated anyway. In either case, thrown into the reality of life.

10 credits per year will get you BS/MS in most majors in 15 years. That's only age 33. Still almost 40 years of work ahead of you. I would actually recommend young people to start earning money full-time right away, get a degree that contributes to the advancement of your job, graduate in your mid to late 20s and graduate degree in early to mid 30s.

>>>>>>> There are always a few Lehigh wrestlers who take advantage of 5 yrs of wrestling to earn a graduate degree

Samuelson picking up an EIWA title while working on a grad degree in technical entrepreneurship was a win-win

I believe Josh mentioned in one of his interviews that he would work on a grad degree if he gets an add’l year.

Interesting...the University of Pennsylvania has a tremendous assortment of graduate programs. They wrestle too.
