Denny just sent me an email stating the NCAA *twice* rejected pleas fro Pat to grant Josh the extra year — in ‘22 and ‘23.

FLO can post anything they want but doesn’t outrank the NCAA. Any negative comments are more accurately directed to the NCAA, not Lehigh. And toward FLO if this report is false.

It appears Pat and Lehigh were pushing hard on Josh’s behalf. Situations change but it would be unfair to the current staff to criticize Lehigh wrestling. That is, if one is a fan of the program.

If Flo mistakenly put Humphreys in the portal, one would think that he would have had them correct their mistake by now. And if he is actually in the portal, why is he there? He's a smart kid and must realize that his looking to transfer doesn't reflect well upon the program. And if his reason has little or nothing to do with the program, he could make a dispelling statement.

And what you said may be true but it’s apparently not due to lack of effort by our staff. Josh loves the program. That was never in question. But…..situations change and we don’t have to know why until we know if it’s true.
No such criticism of coach Koll at Stanford when Griffith left.

Speculation prevails & shocked no one has uncovered the facts by now. Perhaps Humphries looking for a coach to further pursue his case or offer a position at an RTC while he pursues Grad School.

LVWC might be a good starting point unless he wants a Wharton School MBA which would be my first choice.

Have seen LOTS of flexibility by the NCAA in issuing these additional years, but after Josh's initial rejection by the NCAA I thought this to be a mute pt.
