Jax Forrest
Jax Forrest
Of all the young uber talented guys coming up, Jax may be the very best. He's a light weight now, but is lanky. maybe he fills out, maybe not. Jack Spates never did as a collegian.
If there is a guy Lehigh would ever give a FULL ride to, it's him. At the end of his sophomore year, that's exactly what I'd do.

Re: Jax Forrest
And he's inked a name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal with CFLWR Combat Gear so no worries about coming up with extra cash.

Re: Jax Forrest
The young man will be quite comfortable between his current NIL deals and what he will get in college......he is the real deal, but 3 more years to wrestle and stay major injury free, not always a given ........he was only a freshman this year
Re: Jax Forrest
Not sure even Kolat was this good this early. He is taking apart D1 wrestlers like the RS from Ohio State who was a state champ or runner-up. It also means Luke Lilledahl from Wyoming Seminary is really good as well.
Re: Jax Forrest
Forrest just polished off Penn State (formerly Cornell) bound Mason Gibson in 54 seconds in a freestyle tournament.

>>>>>>> mookster completely misses the whole point of NIL.
Jax ( or any college athlete) can have multiple sources of NIL income.
For example——a deal with a shoe or clothing company doesn’t prohibit likeness income from a local car dealership or restaurant.
If Jax continues on his present path, the school that lands him will enable him to have have multiple likeness income streams
You don’t have to like it, but the Supreme Court ruled individuals have that freedom.

That's cool, you should apply to be Lehigh's social media creator. Guessing you have thousands of followers on your Instagram account.

Re: Jax Forrest
Tell us all about it. We ha 15 page thread about this a couple months ago and lots of good points were exchanged. We all know what it is and what it’s not. You didn’t even address collectives in your post so go educate yourself before you try to educate anyone else.FloridaGuy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 1:21 pm >>>>>>> mookster completely misses the whole point of NIL.

Yep, we all know what it is - a Supreme Court decision to guarantee imbalance in college athletes and -- at least for now -- a return to the kind of fan boosterism that was considered not just bad, but the bane of college sports 40-50 yrs ago. I saw a Flo podcast yesterday with Ben Askren and it was clear a few min. in that the 3 of the experts had no hard data on actual NIL compensation. Isn't it several yrs old by now?

Re: Jax Forrest
It is but the collectives have kind of changed the ballgame again - and for the worse. I know Austin Sommer, who does a great job reporting on the EIWA in his role as well as being a pretty good color man on a broadcast if you give him a decent play-by-play guy, has been commenting a fair amount on twitter about the recent happenings with new recruits and transfers. Not sure how anyone knows the truth unless directly involved but some serious money is being discussed.
