Not as tall as his finals opponent but more solidly built and aggressive.

Flo play-by-play announcer mentioned he’s going to Lehigh.

Will be interesting to see how Skellenger and the Lehigh team guys perform tomorrow in U20 freestyle

He definitely has the ability. Needs some horsepower. We have 3 really good guys for 2 weights. The extreme optimist would say…..wait and see. We have had a number of kids bump up 2 weights over the years and do just fine
This post has at least 3 triggers in it. Should have a warning label attached. Btw, totally agree on all counts.

Nothing to do with Lehigh, but Gable Stevenson is an absolute freak, takes a year off and then walks back in and absolutely bombs the competition…….won matches by a combined total of 44-1

Crookham may be out but Lopes is in.

Will also be following Koufax Christensen. I was a big Dodger fan before concluding that baseball is a boring sport.

Baseball boring? Strategy is unparalleled. Only sport where defense controls the ball. No clock— always a chance to win. As Roger Kahn wrote in The Boys of Summer: “Baseball is a summer game, played at a summer pace.”

Who didn’t dream of hitting a home run over the fence in a major league game?

Nice job by Skellenger.

Skellenger seeded #2 behind Meyer Shapiro. That sure is encouraging, looking forward to see him today .

Do only half the weights wrestle this afternoon?

Taylor unseeded and gets the #1 seed in the first round. Duh.

Skellenger lost in the round of 64, 4-4 on criteria. Not so encouraging?

Taylor takes out the #1 seed. If I remember correctly, he lost to him his redshirt year.

Then he gets a win over a big kid who had a very good record as a redshirt freshman last season at Michigan State.

After 2-3 rounds, Taylor's the only LU/LU committed kid without a loss.
