>>>>>>> Repos should have a nice upside. Lost close to Gaj in semis, then finished 3rd. Similar to Presich. Let's hope so. Asking a true freshman to step in who's not a 2/3Xer is asking a lot with our schedule.
Brignola has the gas tank and moves well, but lacks HP -- hopefully he's prepared for 157 HP. Herceg has the HP but could use a little more movement -- he's stands flat footed a lot. Logan has been around long enough to do some damage -- hope this is the year.
Plus, there are guys who aren't front and center who have been working in the room -- maybe one of them comes back next year and emerges out of nowhere?
Re: Matty Lopes
No, that's not happening. You can't just wish for a decent lineup.
Re: Matty Lopes
Actually, it happens all the time.

Please don’t tap on the glass it scares the ice cream.

Re: Matty Lopes
I like Whiz wit middleweight lineup better as Herceg & Logan are not going to make it happen. Would like to think Lawrence can rebound better than Logan & Mays offers. ice upside as a 2 x NJ Champ.
Whether Repos is ready to step in is a longshot & my guess is that 149 will be held down by Hines. McGonigle will likely bump back up to 141 & Hopefully Crookham can stay healthy at 133.

I don't think we'll know until certs in the fall...and maybe not even then. The McGonagle/ Crookham/Hines puzzle may depend on McGonagle's recovery. Perhaps it was a simple recovery, perhaps not. Can Hines be effective at 149?
He appeared to settle in at 141 nicely after a slow adjustment early in the season and really got it going at nationals.
I think Crookham is an elite talent but there are concerns regarding him being injury-prone. He didn't wrestle a full slate his senior year at SV, although he did win states and beat a decent guy in the finals (now wrestling 149 for PSU)
Then this past year, he wrestled an abbreviated slate...was effective but not too many over-all bouts. Or am I being concerned over nothing?
Hunter Mays has the potential to plug a weight where we need help. The freshmen that are coming in may see action. I doubt all will defer.
