Re: Nick Kunstek
Is he a senior state champ?
Re: Nick Kunstek
He's a 2024. Preps 4th in 2022 152. Was ineligible after the late transfer earlier this school year.

Re: Nick Kunstek
Pat Mineo suggested it was because he did not want to wrestle in the area (D11) that rejected his opportunity to wrestle at states when he transferred.......like that was his slap back at the powers to be who took away his chance to wrestle.......which of course has nothing to do with Lehigh but has a lot to to do with wrestling in the Lehigh Valley......
True? Not true? Who knows.......it is Pat Mineo after all.......

**** If true, then he is very immature. I’ll show you by punishing D11.
Re: Nick Kunstek
That decision on States was made quite a long time ago. Recent were the overall crummy performances by LVWC and LU wrestlers at the Open.
Re: Nick Kunstek
Not sure how much I can say publicly (more from the District 11 side than the Lehigh side- I really don't know anything Lehigh inside here) but the PIAA default transfer ineligibility issues stem from his transferring after the start of his sophomore year. In this case he transferred at some point in the fall of his junior year (during the semester). Kids will always be given a chance to go through a series of appeals. First, at the District level then at the state level. I think this piece is relatively public that the family chose not to appeal at the state level. I say it is relatively public because they did NOT appeal at the state level and they had that right. Why? Not sure.

If true, sounds like his decision making is sketchy. Might not be the biggest loss in the long term.Spladle1989 wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 7:18 am Pat Mineo suggested it was because he did not want to wrestle in the area (D11) that rejected his opportunity to wrestle at states when he transferred.......like that was his slap back at the powers to be who took away his chance to wrestle.......which of course has nothing to do with Lehigh but has a lot to to do with wrestling in the Lehigh Valley......
