Here's my understanding so far-

Lehigh
F&M
Brown
Cent Mich
Indiana
Rutgers
Cornell

Each team allowed 15 (Lehigh 30)

So....12 guys per weight. Top 4 seeds get 1st round byes into the quarters. Sound right?
If you're a top 4 seed, you are guaranteed a minimum of 3 bouts. Depending on how wrestle-backs are handled, looks like a minimum of 2 bouts and a maximum of 4. Gimp, did I get that right?

Not bad for a few days before Christmas. And low and behold, there's Rutgers. Four of the 6 other teams are pretty good to very good.

Seems like everybody wants to come to Bethlehem. Recruiting capital of the east.

Depends how the 15s are apportioned. Most will likely end up in the middle. So we might even beat 16 in some wts- if so we have to concern ourselves with 6 bouts- generally in the 5/6 bout probably. I don't know how many placers. Meeting tomorrow.

See NO mention of Sheridan on Rutgers schedule! Do they intend to send their HEAD-LINERS, or their
back-ups, red-shirts, etc. :?

The Cornell schedule does NOT show that they will be there also

Interesting on those last two. We didn't expect to see Arujau for example but wonder if both sending redshirts.

Cornell schedule shows Nat Duals which is only a few days earlier.
Rutgers doesn't show a 23-24 schedule as far as I can see.

Cornell has the Journeyman Collegiate Classic in Bethlehem on 11/12, and the dual in Bethlehem in January. Doubtful they're going to Lehigh Valley three times this year.

Doubt very much if Cornell, and Rutgers send their starting line-up!
IMO this diminishes the Event, but,..it's still D1 Wrestling

There will be enough competitive Cornell backups. Rutgers likewise. Having collegiate events in Bethlehem is a good thing. QF should be competitive with outstanding Semi-finals. There will be enough talent there for it to be worthwhile. If 14 to 16 per bracket individual tournament, let's just hope that we have Lehigh finalists. Don't sleep on Indiana. I would like to see at least a handful of Cornell and Rutgers starters, but if not, it will still be competitive Finals.

Cornell backups
125 #30 Greg D... against a Lehigh starter is a good match.
133 #38 E. Fernandez....same here, but Lehigh favored.
141 #64 Saunders....Saunders is good, but Lehigh favored.
149 #53 Handlovic...good match whomever Lehigh has here.
157 # 79 Yapou...another good match.
165 #117 Baker...another good match
174 #48 Barley...another good match
184 #68 Hansen....another good match
197 #133 Carlson....Lehigh heavily favored
285 #138 David....Lehigh heavily favored

Against Cornell backups, Lehigh starters: Lehigh favored in 4. The other 6 are likely tossups.
