Maybe he will change his mind about being done with wrestling and transfer to Lehigh. He was definitely an object of our recruitment plans. I think we might be able to fit in at 174 or 184.

Maybe emotions were just running high. If he does leave I'm sure we will see him pop up somewhere. I'd be shocked if it's Lehigh. He seems like a big spotlight kind of guy. But he never seemed to fit in that great with the PSU culture either, to be honest.

174 Big 10 Champion Edmund Ruth by medical forfeit.
I guess Carter wanted to go and Cael wanted him to rest. I give Carter credit to wanting to go. Now he has 2 more weeks to rest up and really be pissed off and ready to go.

174 MAC AJ finished 8th. Probably could have done better, but he was a late add to the team in January. So he really hadn't been doing a lot of wrestling the past 2 years.

I stand by that LEHIGH needs to have an ear out there for 165, 174, 184 for a grad transfer who has been ranked in Top 12. We need them for a single year while other men develop.

Well...there goes one grad transfer. He would have been a nice addition. Great pickup by VA Tech. Hopefully there will be more 165, 174 and 184 out there. Is the NCAA window now open?

Maybe I am confused, but was not Ruth 4th seed at B1G, but 3rd NCAA.

Believe PSU's 125 Davis was 6th seed in Big Ten.

Like Ruth, ended up champion.

Does conference tournament results carry outsized weight in seedings?

Starroci interview is pretty good. He says he would wrestle 33 on down over 3 days and win NCAA.
He is definitely ready to go and a little pissed off that Cael held him out at NCAA.

Personally, I don't think anyone is going to come within 5 points of him. I think he is going to blow everyone out.
