Re: U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS
Is there ONE last hurrah in Jordan Burrough's arsenal, or does he leave his sneakers on-the-mat?

The depth of talent in Challenge Tournament is amazing. USA Wrestling has become very deep. Beijing and for a few Olympic cycles before, the USA freestyle program was struggling at the international level. Not anymore.1/2NELSON wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 11:36 am THE STAGE IS SET!

Sir, a pint of you finest ale, please!
Never argue with an idiot... he'll bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

That's a shame. Incredible talent.
Re: U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS
May have been wise for him to focus on the Olympics at the expense of the college tournaments as one or two guys on this forum speculated he might do. Wondering if his two losses to Crookham led to a passion for vindication.
Re: U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS
He's simply not at an Olympic weight. He would have gone 125 if it was easy.
Re: U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS
Doesn't sound that simple to me. He says he hasn't sufficiently recovered from his injuries and the weight cut makes it tougher, and his father gave both the injuries and the weight cut issue as reasons for his decision. But my hearing isn't so hot these days so maybe I heard them incorrectly.
Re: U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS
The response was to whatever you were trying to say about Crookham vs Olympics. The Olympic wt is ~4 kilos below the World and the NCAA weight. Plus I read it as the injury makes the cut tougher as much as the other way around. Again, it's simple.whiz wit wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 6:19 pmDoesn't sound that simple to me.
