Tiny little school in the middle of the Arctic always seems to have a decent football team. No wrestling so I can't take them too seriously.
Colgate is having a great year this season but they've had their ups and downs too. They've had 3 losing seasons this decade (like Lehigh) plus a 5-5 mark in 2016. The Raiders also haven't posted a 10 win season since 2003 (Lehigh has 3 this decade). It'll come down to the playoffs if they can get to double-digit wins. They're going to get hit pretty hard with graduation after this season. Not saying they're going to fall off the cliff but the door will be open in 2019.
Colgate has had basically the same identity since Biddle took over except for a random year here and there. In 2012 they played zero defense yet won the PL because they outplayed Lehigh in the second half.
It is impressive how good they've been over the last 20 years. It's a great school academically and the campus is nice but it really is in the middle of the nowhere. I think their success can be attributed to the administration and a real strong football alumni base. I've spent a lot of time at Colgate over the last few years so I appreciate it. Yet their football team has always annoyed me. They're the antithesis of Lehigh's program in many ways yet the results have been similar. Lehigh has always been the PL's version of the "Showtime Lakers" while Colgate is "Bird's Celtics".
